General
What does an outsourced accounting service actually do?
We take over the day-to-day finance function: recording transactions, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, managing payables and receivables, running payroll, closing the books monthly and producing financial statements — so your team can focus on operations.
Do you work with US-based businesses?
Yes. Our offshore team has over 10 years of US accounting and tax experience and currently supports a leading US-based home improvement company, along with clients across the UAE and Singapore.
How quickly can you onboard our business?
A typical onboarding takes one to two weeks — a discovery call, access and document handover, a review of your opening balances, then the first delivery cycle.
How do you keep our financial data secure?
Client data is handled under strict confidentiality controls with restricted, role-based access, secure cloud platforms and signed non-disclosure agreements covering every team member.
Do you work with CPA firms on overflow work?
Yes. We provide white-label capacity for CPA firms during busy season and year-round, working within your systems and under your brand.
How is pricing structured?
Most engagements are a fixed monthly fee based on transaction volume and scope, agreed in writing before we start. One-off work such as catch-up bookkeeping or a single return is quoted separately.
Outsourced Accounting
What is included in monthly bookkeeping?
Transaction recording, general ledger maintenance, bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable management, month-end closing and a full set of financial statements.
Which accounting software do you work with?
We are a Xero-certified advisory practice and also work in QuickBooks Online and Desktop, along with the common payroll and document-management tools that connect to them.
Can you clean up a backlog of unreconciled books?
Yes. Catch-up work is common. We review the opening position, agree a cut-off date, then work backwards month by month until the books reconcile.
What reports will we receive each month?
A profit and loss statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and a management reporting pack tailored to how you run the business — including budget versus actual analysis where a budget exists.
Outsourced Payroll
What services do you offer in payroll management?
Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payroll processing, direct deposit and paper checks, federal and state payroll tax filings, payroll tax payment and compliance, customised reports, W-2, W-3 and 1099 preparation, and workers' compensation audit support.
Can you handle payroll for companies of all sizes?
Yes. We support everything from a single owner-operator drawing a salary through to multi-state teams with mixed employee and contractor populations.
Do you handle multi-state payroll?
Yes. We manage state registrations, withholding and unemployment filings across multiple states, which is where most in-house payroll runs into trouble.
Do you prepare 1099s for contractors?
Yes. We track contractor payments through the year, collect W-9 information and prepare and file 1099s at year end.
Tax
Can you prepare and file US tax returns?
Yes. We prepare individual, corporate, partnership and trust returns including Forms 1040 and 1065, handle multi-state filings, nonprofit returns, ITIN applications and FBAR filings.
Do you offer support for international tax matters?
Yes. We provide multi-state and international tax services, ITIN applications and FBAR filings, helping clients navigate US federal and state requirements with confidence.
What is your process for preparing and filing taxes?
We start with a planning review before year end, then collect documents through a secure checklist, prepare the return, walk you through it before filing, and file electronically once you approve.
What is FBAR and who has to file it?
FBAR is the Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts. If the aggregate value of your foreign financial accounts exceeded 10,000 US dollars at any point in the year, you are generally required to file.
What should I do first when I receive an IRS notice?
Do not respond immediately. Note the response deadline, then send us the full notice. We review the underlying position before anything is submitted.
Trucking
Do you have experience with the trucking industry?
Yes. We specialise in US transportation accounting including IFTA fuel tax reporting, Form 2290 heavy vehicle use tax, driver settlements and DOT compliance.
When is Form 2290 due?
Form 2290 is generally due by 31 August for vehicles first used in July, with the tax period running from 1 July to 30 June. For a vehicle first placed in service later, it is due by the last day of the month following first use.
How does IFTA reporting work?
IFTA requires a quarterly return reporting miles travelled and fuel purchased in each member jurisdiction. We reconcile fuel card transactions against mileage records and file the return.
Should an owner-operator be an LLC or an S-Corp?
It depends on net profit. Below a certain level the S-Corp election costs more in administration than it saves in self-employment tax. We run the numbers on your actual figures first.
